DOJO is the way place. All the stuff we practice in a DO-jo — the aiki do and ju do and jo do and karate do and ken do and iai do and all the rest, are all just pointers to the DO– different lamps lighting the way.
As we train in a Do art, the point is to get into harmony with the Way– to realize the Way in your own physical being and mind and emotions and words– to surrender yourself, to imbue yourself and to finally forget yourself in process of practice and realization so that we are no longer merely a person doing a DO, a way, but we ourselves are becoming an co-creative expression of the Way. I
n the end you don’t do aikido, or do judo; you become aikido, you become judo– you become DO
