Windsong Dojo offers a unique and rich training environment with high standards of quaility and commitment.

Since the arts that we practice are concerned with what the Zen tradition calls “the great matter of Life and Death,” be advised that we reserve the right to apply selective standards for enrollment and we reserve the right to expell any student for misbehavior and unethical conduct; as such, we require that all students behave as mature and conscientious adults and all persons who enter the training hall are expected to follow the dojo rules of safety and decorum.

Upon deciding to join Windsong Dojo we advise that you should be willing to commit yourself to training for a minimum of 6 months. We have found that students who are willing to make such a commitment can expect realistic and long lasting benefits from training.

Be advised that Windsong Dojo is not a normal business and does not function as one—we have no due dates for payments, no collection agents, no salaried employees, no ranking or testing fees, and no contracts. The dojo is operated on the honor system and sustained by the good will of its members. All instructors teach on a voluntary basis, and all cleaning and facility up-keep is the responsibility of the student body.

Once you have joined and must miss class for over a calendar month, for any reason, we ask that you notify us, if possible before the absence, so that we can adjust your tuition.

Once you have joined, you may attend as many or a few classes as you wish, but attending any class in a calendar month requires the regular monthly tuition.

Tuition is posted on a monthly basis. Whether you attend one class in a month or every class in a month, you will be responsible for tuition for that entire month. In special cases, per class mat fees may be substituted for tuition. Membership in Kaze Uta Budo Kai is due annually. Your first month’s tuition and registration include payment for the first year’s association dues.

At Windsong Dojo we feel that ranking is a matter of recognition and responsibility, not a financial transaction and as such we will never charge Ranking or Testing fees to our students.

Please note that due to the nature of jodo, we require that all candidates for jodo studies be at least a green belt rank in either Aikido or Judo, and upon admission you will be required to purchase a proper jo and bokken.

You may join:

Our “Basic Program”

Join one art, either aikido or judo

$95 per month. A standard uniform (or “gi”) and belt is included free with sign up.

Our “Budoka Program”

Join multiple arts, aikido, judo and/or jodo

$145 per month. A standard uniform (or “gi”) and belt is included free with sign up.

There is also an annual fee due for joining our ranking organization, Kaze Uta Budo Kai, of $60 per year, but which only comes due after you have trained for a year. If you have any questions or problems concerning your bill, do not hesitate to call us at (405) 943-6246.

NOTE: Iaido is billed separately from regular tuition.

I am so confident that joining our dojo will have such a positive impact on your life, that I am willing to offer you a 100% money back guarantee.

Try out the dojo risk free for 60-90 days or until you make green belt and if you don’t feel that joining Windsong Dojo is one of the best things you’ve done for yourself, I will:

1. Cancel your tuition—no questions asked.

2. Allow you to keep all the educational and training materials that you have received while training here.

3. Refund 100% of your monthly payments.

To qualify for the money–back guarantee, I only ask that you:

1. Train at least twice a week.

2. Train earnestly with the intention of completing your green belt.

3. Let me know within a week of completing your green belt requirements that you wish to resign.
